Braeden
Cheverie-Leonard
President, CoD Captain
What is up everybody, it is Braeden or BCL in the gaming world! I am honored to be serving as president for Syracuse Esports. I have an extensive background in all aspects of eSports. I played professional Call of Duty for 2 years for a team located in Minnesota. I’ve also worked in broadcasting for traditional sports and Call of Duty. Last summer, I worked in the corporate side of marketing and partnerships with Oxygen Esports, the parent company of the Boston Breach and Boston Uprising. I am a Sport Management Major and helped build our new Esports Major as well. I’m a Sophomore at SU from Andover, Massachusetts. As the Captain of our Call of Duty team, I obviously play that a lot, but some of my favorite games are the traditional sports games. I am the biggest Montreal Canadiens fan of all time… without a doubt! I want students to feel the excitement I feel when I walk into our Esports facilities on campus. I would be wasting this opportunity if I didn't shamelessly plug my teams social media, so go give our CoD team a follow here
Please don't hesitate to reach out with anything! All of my socials are Braeden_0326 or you can send an email to us at the bottom of this page
Hayden Kim
Social Media Manager
Hello! My name is Hayden "Kimmer" Kim and I am the social media manager as well as the Executive Producer of the eSports Juicebox at the Orange Television Network. I am a dual major in Magazine, News and Digital Journalism (Newhouse) and Economics (Maxwell). I'm from the great Garden State of New Jersey but a huge New York Rangers fan. Speaking of the Rangers, my hobby's include ice hockey and a cappella here on campus. I mainly follow League of Legends and Counter-Strike but I dabble in other eSports as well. I mainly play League of Legends, Counter-Strike, Valorant, and Cities: Skylines. But my all-time favorite game has to Portal 2. Don't be afraid to reach out on discord or any of our other social media channels if you are interesting in social media or broadcasting for our eSports teams!
Anthony Solt
Vice President, CS Captain
My name is Anthony and I am a Junior here at SU. I'm studying Computer Science and am currently a member of the hockey team here at Syracuse as well. I'm from Colorado and have grown up playing C.O.D., Halo, Minecraft, CS, and many other games. Feel free to reach out to me with anything Counter-Strike or eSport related!
Anthony Watt
Secretary
Hello everyone! My name is Anthony Watt and I am the secretary of ESSU for the upcoming 2023-2024 fall and spring semesters. I look forward to meeting everyone online and in person! I am from a small ranching town called Meeker, Colorado. Even though I had a rural upbringing, and I am very familiar with touching grass, video games and esports have always been a hobby of mine. I played for the Syracuse League of Legends team in spring 2023, but I enjoy playing any game, competitive or casual. I have also recently taken an interest in chess, and I have a history in tabletop role playing games. This year I am especially looking forward to the new renaissance of the fighting game community with the releases of Street Fighter VI, Tekken 8, and Mortal Kombat 1 (I mainly Chun Li, Kazuya, and Scorpion). The thing I enjoy the most about the esports community is in person events and I hope that we will be able to have tons of opportunities to meet each other and become friends. It is going to be a great time meeting everyone and getting to know each other better through one of our favorite hobbies!
Lawson Berman
Treasurer, OW Captain
My name is Lawson Berman, and this year I will work as the treasurer to ensure we achieve our goals while balancing our financial needs. I have worked in eSports for many years as an investor, owner, and collaborator. This has given me the knowledge to empower me as the year's treasurer. I am a Whitman School of Management sophomore studying business (undecided). My understanding of eSports as a player and the Captain of the Cuse Overwatch team will also empower me to help the club to achieve its goals.
